Advertising Experiment Failure: RMX Direct

January 7th, 2007 by Administrator

Here is the deal, I have had RMX Direct ads on this site for the previous week.

Unfortunately, many of you don’t want to click on one of them to claim your plasma TV or another where you win a prize if you know Eminem’s daughter(I don’t know her name either, :) ). Plus, they are flashy, bright and obnoxious.

So, I will be removing these ads in favor of a more text based solution. I will still use RMX, but I will include my other networks, Adbrite and Adsense. In my opinion, that is how RMX is supposed to be used as the ad networks they offer you are not as established and only offer the flash based ads we have been seeing.

My next battle will be fighting with Google to reinstate my adsense as a previous site I owned had click fraud and I felt the brunt of it (I believe it was some kind of bot clicking on the links). I will chronicle this as well.

Until next time…

About Intense Web Media

November 19th, 2006 by Administrator

I have created this site to stir up the technosphere.

Too much is made these days of products that do the same thing with a small interation. While other sites will report on the latest video uploading site or the latest myspace copycat, we’ll look for sites, tools, and software that break from established molds.

This is not to say we won’t write about social networking, and video uploading, we will. IWM will instead bring more diversity to your rss feeder by finding lesser known, but important sites that will affect the web later on.

To all you developers creating a new, exciting, and original product: submit your site to us. We’ll review it and at the very least place a link with a small review on our directory. If we deem your creation particularly important, we’ll write a longer review on the front page.
